Like a delicious smore, this craft beer creation is infused with marshmallow flavour, chocolate, fall spice flavour and has a smooth, creamy centre.

Bottle from the lcbo. Dark brown pour, with a small off white head. Aroma is very light roast, and a soft frutiness. Mouth feel is incredibly thin, the carb is nice. Finish is fruity, with some light vanilla. This is a pretty mediocre stout. Thin, fake flavouring, random sweetness.... A huge meh..

Bottle: Poured a clear light black color ale with a light brown foamy head with minimal retention and some light amount of lacing. Aroma of sweet chocolate notes with light vanilla extract is OK. Taste is a mix of sweet chocolate notes with light vanilla notes and almost no resemblances to s ’mores. Body is super thin with medium carbonation. A good marketing ploy but the actual beer doesn’t deliver.

Draught at Parallel 49, Vancouver
Black colour. Rather dry, but not weak; gentle roasted malt flavour, dark caramel, hint of smoke.
Clean and balanced.

Pours a clear, deep copper colour with a beige head, decent stay and some spotted foam-lacing. Not sure what to expect from a s'more beer, but good luck. Yeasty at first pour. Then, the chocolate malts come out, but the hops are present - and pretty sure grassy notes are not part of a s'more. They should be quite sweet, and this is not. No notes of biscuit malts (which should be the Graham crackers). No sweetness from the lactose (which might be the marshmallows). Seems a little sweeter in the taste with just a touch syrupy on the tongue. Roasted malts lingers with a light dryness. Better than their Imperial Pumpkin Ale - which should of never been barrel-aged. Still, expecting more on this one from this brewery I like.

Has a soft spicy barley aroma with some cinnamon, nice white foam head on top of a muddy brown body. Flavour is sweet and muddy with molasses notes. Finish is soft with no finesse. This is a sweet stout but missing control and quality.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with red hue and a small, short lived, tan head that dissipates to an outer ring, leaving spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, bread, caramel, cocoa and vanilla. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, bread, vanilla and nutmeg with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a thin texture and average carbonation. No s'mores here, but still tasty.

On tap at Kings, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa, oats, toasted malt and dry earthy notes. Flavour is very hearty, with lots of toasted malt, earthy notes, and touch of dry cocoa. Not really getting the s'mores. Dry and roasty. It's alright.

2018 version, 5.5%. Dark brown. Thin head. Light vanilla and chocolate aroma. Feels like a bigger body, with more bitterness and residual sugars. This does help the vanilla out, and the chocolate notes as well. I wonder if the lactose this year is a tweak or not. Anyway, it's definitely light for a dessert stout, but it's improved from last year. 2017 version, 6%. Medium brown. Thin head. On the nose, maybe light chocolate and vanilla. Sweet but bland palate, thinnish, not enough sugary richness to carry the artificial vanilla notes. If you're making dessert beer, you cannot skimp on the richness. It simply doesn't work. 5 3 5 2 10 = 2.5

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of sweet vanilla, marshmallows, chocolate syrup, and tinny roasted malts. Thin flavours of same. Really needs a bigger malt base.
