Originally rated October 2005. Pours a pale straw colour with a fizzy white head. Hardly any retention and no lacing at all. Clean as a cat’s ass. Grainy smell of malt with some sweetness mixed with some sourness. Very light taste of malt with some corn in the aftertaste. Half soda-water mouthfeel. Very boring, and glad I did not buy a 24 of this stuff... like the guy who gave me one of these. Thanks Germ.

Reading the back of the label does not instill confidence in this one, as it extolls the virtue of the water it’s brewed from. Sure, it’s nice to have special water, now howsabout some special brewing to go with it? Pours with a decent thick white head and okay bright gold heavily carbonated body. Aroma of lemon and grain. Flavour is a smooth mix of lemon, bread, with just a hint of hops. Decent palate. I’m pleasantly surprised by this one - it’s not great, but it doesn’t horribly suck like I expected either!

Bouteille 341ml.

Light yellow beer with a dissipating white head, good carbonation. At first, strong sulfuric aroma leading to a bland corn aroma, with light contaminated yeasty aroma. In mouth, rather bland, lightly sweet, malt, with light eggy notes. Metallic notes developing. From Dép. de la Rive, Feb. 2006.

Bottle: Poured a light yellowish color beer with a small white bubbly head with minimal retention. Weak aroma of corn and most probably adjunct with very little else. Taste is also full of adjunct with a thin body and watery aftertaste. While I understand that they are not looking to attract the micros beer lover, I believe there is way to do something a bit tastier without scaring away your BMC crowd.

Light golden colour. No head. Aroma of corn nuts, popcorn, apples and fusel alcohol. Oh yum! Bland, sweet flavour, a little bit appley. Terrible and poorly brewed.
