Wet paper/cardboard, vegetal soup, sour caramel malt, Jesus and that’s just in the aroma! The flavor is another train wreck. More wet paper, nasty cooked veggies, holy hell this is bad, and the carb is just crazy. Another awful offering from an awful brewery.

Brunrød farge med offwhite skum. Ser bra ut. Lukter malt, brød og karamell. Smaker malt, urter og noe karamellsødme.

Bouteille 341ml.

Originally rated July 2006. Purchased at La Trappe À Fromage. Pours a copper colour with a big off-white yellowish fizzy-cream head that dissipates at a better than average pace, leaving some thick lace on one side of the glass. Very active all-over carbonation. The nose is quite hoppy with some light roasted malt in the background. Still a 4mm creamy head is present after 4-5 minutes. Time to taste know. Flat watery mouthfeel. Mild bitterness in the finish. Dull flavours of mild fruit, caramel and sourness. Too bad, after a good start with a good look and scent.

Pours with reliable head even when chilled, nice foggy brown-amber body. Aroma is all hops and coriander. Flavour is swampwater with a malt and coriander finish. Maybe I just don’t like red beers, because there are so few of them I like - and this isn’t one of them.

Bottle – Poured out a light brown brew with almost no head. Carbonation is quite weak with average body. Taste is sweet with some good mix of malts and hops. Aftertaste is almost non-existent. Overall, this an average ale that resemble a bit too much some the ales that macro produce these days.

Nose is malty, slightly acidic, thick which collapses rapidly, brown in colour but a little turbid, sweet malt in the mouthm but very little hops, and a slight start of infection. May need some more QC!

Smooth palate that manages to coax some fresh bready, malty notes out of an otherwise standard amber.
