Cask at Duke’s Brew & Que, Hackney on 11 January 2014. Poured a light amber/ dark golden colour with a dense white head and good lacing. Fruity aroma with tangerine, lemon zest, passionfruit, pine and bread dough. Initial flavours of dried apricots, grass and biscuity malt. Finish was a nice balance of dry grain, ripe grapefruit and brown sugar sweetness. Excellent session beer.

On tap at Duke’s Brew & Que - London. Solid pale ale. Lots of earthy pine, some dank citrus, light jammy orange. Moderate sweetness. Light to medium in body with average, massaging carbonation. Lightly sticky and resinous to finish with further juicy citrus fruits. Very nice.

Cask at The Rake. It pours golden amber with a small white head. The nose is fresh pine, cereal, grassy, citrus and soap/washing-up liquid. The taste is crisp, bitter, pine, leather, pithy citrus, cereal, grain and light floral notes with a crisp, bitter finish. Light body and fine carbonation. A nice lower-abv offering.

The Rake. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Light fine carbonation. Thin malt. Good fresh hops with light orange and lesser tropical fruits. Finishes slightly over dry. Another of these well hopped low abv beers I suspect and not a bad one.
