Marston’s Resolution delivers punchy flavours and lots of character. In order to deliver all of that wonderful flavour, which Marston’s is renowned for, Marston’s Resolution undergoes a double fermentation process which turns all sugars into alcohol.

The end result is a strong, refreshing beer that’s less filling and easier to drink. Not only this, but it’s also great tasting with lots of full-bodied flavours which are finished off with a refreshing, crisp note.

Dark blond. Stale malt aroma. Flavour of sweet malts. It’s a very bland and watery beer.

A tasty lager with plenty of aroma. Small head and a touch weak in its aftertaste.

Not much to say about this. Inoffensive, but bland. Not much else other than an average beer. Part of a pack given as a gift. Not going to insult my mum by saying it is garbage. 3/5.

Part of a 4 pack, brown bottle, 275ml, best before Sept 2007, drank 1st Feb 2007. Poured into a Corsendonk tulip glass. Premium English Bitter my arse! Looks OK, bright, lively and clean, a golden, light amber colour. The white head, did a runner to the side of the glass before I had a sip. Smelled of vanilla and banana’s, if I hadn’t known better, I would have said it was a hefe wiessbier from Bavaria. It shouldn’t have smelt like that if they are calling it an English Bitter. The taste isn’t awful, there just isn’t any taste. Mouthfeel, not there, again not awful, just not any to review and talk about. Low carb beer it may well be, flavoursome beer it is not. Great that a brewer should attempt such a beer, but I am sorry to say, I will not be having another. I will just have to stay fat and happy.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours clear, dark gold with a mild, white head. Aroma holds some cereal and light corn. Nice flavor, some dry cereal, light grains, faint caramel, faint wood. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean finish, some modest sugar and cereal. Very drinkable, light, not bad.

275ml bottle. Pours orange with a small head. Aroma is eggy, dusty caramel malt. Taste starts with some orange and has a caramel malt finish. Non-existent in the mouth.

Bottle at home ... 2 years past sell by date as the first one was so bad, i never went back for the 2nd (no rating for first one) ... Nice RIch amber colour ... slight sickly sweet fruit malt ... sweet fruit no real depth ... little caramel touch lagery... better than i remember in that i migth actually be able to finish this but its still bit of a poor show. ITs one dimensional character quickly gets boring.

(Bottle 27,5 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with a small, creamy, off-white head. Vague aroma of nuts and roasted malt. Fairly light body, notes of roasted malt and nuts. Lightly sweet but ends on an odd, coffeeish note. But absolutely drinkable for a low carb and a lot better than what the score would indicate. 130906
