20/10/2019. Can from Beer52. Appropriately had this prior to heading to see Midge Ure playing the classic Vienna album at Ipswich Corn Exchange. So... Poured in a pint glass, frothy head that did not wane, colour was amber, a nice touch of malt and caramel, with biscuit and berries, medium sweetness and bitterness, it stays with you until, the texture is oily there’s a bit of fizz, it meant something to me, it was quite simply ok, Oh, Vienna.

[33cl can from the Beer52 box for April.] A bright amber pour with a billowing cream head; sweet caramel malt aroma with a whiff of yeast; smooth with a biscuity malt taste, and some nicely balanced sour grains; before a creamy caramel finish with traces of bitter orange marmalade. A beer that screams drink me!.

330ml can: BB 5th Sep 19, drank at home on 7th April 19. Bright amber body, lasting white crown. Malty molasses rule the nose and initial taste, then the hops arrive to give a new dimension to the flavour, piney and dark hedgerow berries adding a slight bitterness and dryness to the finish. Decent.

Clear amber, thick white head. Aroma is kinda malty. taste has a hoppy, zesty hit up front and again a decent malty base to it. Nice, dry finish to it along with something either herby or spiced, perhaps? Subtle but enough to make it a little decent. This is really solid.
