Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size dark brown foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of whiskey and woody notes with some roasted malt and black chocolate notes. Taste is also a mix of whiskey notes with some woody notes and black chocolate notes Body is slightly below average with good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes. Enjoyable BA stout though body is maybe not solid enough to sustain the barrel-aged notes.

Bottle. Black color with purpleish head. Aroma is beetroots indeed, port sweetness, pickle stuff. Taste is chocolate, beetroots and port, but quite tart in its fruitiness, again almost pickle-ish. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Alright, but I preferred the base beer.

Bottle. Dark brown to black, brown and pink creamy head. Earthy dry chocolate nose, fruity veg. Medium full dry salty base, chocolate pickles, black port/red wine. a bit too much brine, not well balanced, not one to enjoy by yourself.

Bottle at home. Opaque black color, dark brown colored head that disappears quickly. Aroma is malts and an odd red fruit-ish note. Is that the "tawny port"? Flavor is also "drenched" in that red fruit / tawny port flavor. That and some roast. Fairly thick texture. Alright but that red fruit / port flavor and aroma don't really do it for me.

Zoet, flinke port smaak, rode wijn, hout. Ik zou dit normaal niet heel lekker vinden maar toch is deze goed. De nasmaak is fantastisch en blijft goed hangen.

Intensiv malziger Beginn, dessen Fasslagerung die Malzigkeit leicht säuerlich gestaltet und somit süffiger macht. Feine, eher milde Karbonisierung, viel Holz, Kirschen, vollmundig, trocken malziger Nachhall. Gut! 9/11/12/12/11/12

Bottle, Silver Series 2019. Color: Black, thin light brown head. Aroma: Sweet, roasted malt, notes of licorice and Port. Taste: Roasted malt, licorice, chocolate and toffee notes, very well balanced with fruity, sweetish (not too sweet) and bit boozy Tawny Port notes. Long lasting finish. Over moderate sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Full body, low carbonation. Very nice, this brewery surely knows how to BA properly.
