Sharp funky lemon, lemon zest, funky wet wood and hay. Silky mouth feel, cereals are more pronounced with the older blends added. Not as acidic as younger blends. Funky cheese, and yeast, more lemon, burnt plastic.

Orange with a fairly nice head, though still fizzy. Big fruit notes up front followed by a honey sweetness, wood, blanket, herbal, funk. The funk intensity ramps up in the flavor and especially near the finish. Dry body and finish. Lovely.

2021, 750 mL bottle poured. An old Ratebeer friend of mine posted an incredible rating of a special beer when they welcomed their child into the world. When I first read it years ago, I wondered if I would ever get the chance to do the same. I've always said that half of a beers score is based on the situation that surrounds it. This is that version for me. And I will start this rating the way he did. Welcome to the world, little one. Glowing golden orange piut. Lasting head with minimal lacing. Layered and complex nose with citrus fruits, barn funk, tangerine. Tart stone fruit front, with gentle grape, Funk, and mildy dry barrel oak. An incredible treat to say the least. The beer is absolutely incredible, but she is absolutely perfect.
