Flaska från SB. Gyllengul klar vätska med medelhögt vitt fluffigt skum. Lite ljusare och lättare och mindre maltig än en genomsnittlig bitter. Torr, krispig, lite blommig med tydlig beska. Gott

500ml Bottle - Light amber in colour. Floral, malty and slightly woody aroma. Rather refreshing taste with notes of tea, biscuity malt, dried fruit and some slightly earthy and nutty notes. Nicely balanced and rather enjoyable.

Bottled. A golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

From notes. Nutty. Butter scotch fruit, dry earth. Very traditional drink, hard to get excited about.

500ml bottle in York National Railway Museum restaurant. Clear golden amber colour, foam white head leaving some lacing and a malty aroma. Taste is malt, toasty, with a spicy bitterness and slight orange rind citrus tangy, metallic note. Medium body and carbonation. OK.

March 2010: Nice touch: Where I’d expect to see the best before date (on the top of the cap), are the words, ’WALK THE DOG’. The brown 500ml bottle conditioned beer was poured slowly into a UK pint sleeve glass. A terracotta orange body with a white foaming head stared back at me after the pouring. The body almost clear, just the hint of a semi-haze, that is because I poured the sediment in too. Hops and malts hit the nose, more hops than malts. The hops win in the taste stakes too, the beer is dry and bitter because of the hop content with all the other ingrediants being pushed into the background. A good, well made beer, a little too hoppy for my own tastes, but not enough for a ’hophead’ type I should imagine.
