This Extra Pale Ale is an assertive blend of US hops. Through aromas of pine, a tomahawk hit of soft ripe & tropical fruit explodes on the palate.

Big-ass 500ml can bought as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Pour is mid-gold and clear with a small loose white head. Nice aroma, marmalade-y notes, some white grape juice, some citrus peel, bready yeast. Taste is bittersweet with herbal notes and and odd reminder of fabric softener - not sure whether I’ve ever tasted fabric softener but it evokes it somehow. Quite bitter and astringent in the finish. Some more white grape in the aftertaste. Light body, medium to heavy carbonation. Hard to get into this one, even though it’s competent enough.

Forholdvis pålitelige notater fra en travel dag på The Great British Beer Festival, London 02.08.22: klar lys gylden, fint skum som varer. Besk citrus, furunål, litt gress og litt mersmak.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Thanks to Harrisoni. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth airy palate, slightly soft but there is decent fine carbonation on the back end. Light maits, a light creamy sweetness. Floral hops. Mellow citrus, trace of lime on the finish. Decent.
