on tap at the brewpub.
Loads of sweet grainy malts in the aroma, along with some sweet breadiness, and alcohol. The flavor is very bready, and rich. The malt stays all the way through. This is like drinking a loaf of sweet fruit cake. Interesting stuff. But only good for a sipper.

Hazy amber-brown. The aroma has a lot of peat and caramel. A bit thin. The malts just kind of vanish, which is too bad. There’s still a little bit of caramel but nothing too crazy.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a fading tan head over a hazy brown body with good lace. Aroma of peat, brown sugar and smoke. Taste is sweet and quite smokey with caramel and Charlena. Leaves my mouth feeling sticky. Light bubbles.

Bouteille 500ml.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a nice foamy head with limited retention. Aroma of deep caramel and cookie dough is dominating. Taste is also quite sweet with some nice toffee and caramel malt with some strong cookie dough notes. Carbonation is quite good with a full body. Interesting take on the style but would have appreciate more peat characteristics.

A deep clear dark brown ale with a thin light moka head. An aroma of sweet figs and light coffee. In mouth, a nice sweet molasses, and light aniseed, with chocolate notes and nice alcohol warmth. Medium bodied. Overall, this is veering in the old ale category.
