An exceptionally satisfying and full bodied beer for its stature, with the same big hop hit you may have come to expect from our more muscular Pale Ales. This beer is vibrant with citrus, fruit and floral qualities meandering to a gentle bitter finish.

330ml bottle from Selfridges, Birmingham. Pours murky amber. Light pale malts, muggy citrus, obviously light in character, but hard to really enjoy.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear amber pour with a thin off white head, lime and a hint of spice in the aroma, taste has citrus, a hint of grapefruit, some rough malty action, quite watery but well executed for ABV.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, 29/01/15 - thanks to Leighton. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is tangy citric peel, orange pith, straw, tangerine, light smoke, pink grapefruit, mineral notes. Taste comprises light soap notes, tangerine, straw, light pine, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent SIPA material.

33cl bottle. Thin white head. Citrus aroma. Hazy golden pour. Malty taste with biotterness in the aftertaste. Very good for the ABV.

Tasting at Bruce’s. Thanks to LKS. Very hazy gold beer, residual cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and there is a dusty feel to it. Light pale malts overlaid by fairly bitter floralness and citric peel. Dry finish. Mmm - it feels a bit unclean like fine particulates have not been filtered out or something. Unfortunately it really detracts overall.

Bottle thanks to Leightonian. It pours lightly hazy amber with a small bubbly white head. The nose is grapefruit, mild orange, floral notes, toast and a touch of sherbet. The taste is crisp, bitter, toasty, mild caramel, grass, creaminess, citrus rind and soap. Lightish body and fine, prickly carbonation. Simple and easy-drinking, but not a whole lot to it. OK.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at some bottle shop. Pours clear amber-gold with a frothy white head. Nice aroma, some melon, tangerine, orange, light minerals and pine. Light sweet flavor with some pine needle bitterness, a bit of bready pale malts, orange rind, minerals, other citrus fruits. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, some light grainy pale malts, pine needles, rindy citrus, cleansing minerals. Nice beer.

330ml bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Amber colour, off white head. Aroma is citrus hops, malts. And fruit. Taste is sweet with a bitter finish. Didn’t realise the low alcohol from the taste. Very good.
