Our Magnificent Mullets keep getting more magnificent! Sir Plum McCartney is packed with 6 metric tonnes of plum - that's heavier that 2 African elephants! The flavour is short and tart upfront and long and plum-y at the back!

330ml can. Murky pinkish-brown colour, brief white head. Aroma of sweetened plums; pleasant but not much else. Taste is more interesting, with sweet plums, minerals, a touch of grain, biscuit malts with a touch of yeast, then a moderate sour finish with a modest bitterness. Nice smoothness on the palate with a moderate carbonation. Good.

Prominent plum, no sourness. Basically a juice drink not a beer

330ml can shared with BlackHaddock down there. Pours a murky pinkish muddy gold, thin off-white head. Soft fruity plummy suggestions on the nose. Not massively sour, some fleshy plum, stone, quite dry and thin on taste overall. Below average for the style.

9th May 2021. The Great World Awakening tasting with Minutmat, assisted by Grumbo (who supplied 8 of the beers). We had 14 beers from 13 different countries as we tried to add some new countries to improve our stats. 330ml can between us; BB 4th May 2022. Poured a Murky, dull old gold colour, white head on top. I expected it to be more 'plummy' and more 'sour' given the name and blurb on the can. I was actually happy to discover it wasn't overpowering in pluminess or sourness.

27/1/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours cloudy/murky dark orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of tart plums, prune juice, peach and apricot. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a nice tart edge. Moderate body, a bit watery texture, gently spritzy carbonation. Plum seemed to fade pretty quick leaving the stone fruits and prune more prominent. But quite liked it.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 23/01/21. Lightly hazed orange with a moderate pink hue topped with a modest off white cap that clears to a swirl. Nose is tangy plum, hay bale, grass, lemon rind, grains. Taste comprises more plummy notes, prunes, sweet syrupy tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering edge. Passable affair ... a little sweet and lacking dimension but you get the plum.

Can: Poured a murky orange with a light red hue, head was whispery white. Aroma is very plummy, little wax. Taste is tart, plum, fruity, grain, dries the palate out.

330ml can at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky light brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is plums and yeast. The flavour is light to moderate sour, with a light, crisp, light tart plum, mineral, earthy, light biscuit yeast palate. Medium to light bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can. Opaque browny-pink with a white head. Left wet laundry funk aroma with lots of plum. Slightly lacto slick with medium to low carbonation. Both sweet and tart with almost grainy plum and a bracken and mild spice finish. Refreshing. Good, but Macguava is still my favourite.
