Smooth and easy drinking, this bitter pale ale is inspired by the US craft beer boom using four hop varieties, and has a light citrus taste.

500ml bottle bought at Greene King Beer Cafe. Shared with Finn. Bright amber body, fair lacing from a diminishing white head. Modest doughy malty nose, mid-sweet. Honeyed malts to the taste buds, hints of dried fruits. Rather sweet malt-fruity ending. Soft on the swallow. Easy going.(Hotel room, Cambridge 12.11.2021).

Delt med Rune på rom 230 på Travelodge Cambridge Central. Gyldenbrun. Filmskum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Smørmaltaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken som aromaen. Kjedelig. Tørr bitter avslutning.

Bottle from the Anchor, Cambridge. Amber, mostly clear, with the tiniest bit of off-White head. Loads of lacing. The malty scent is a bit messy. There’s a touch of hop somewhere but I just can’t seem to pin it down. Refreshing sweet taste: the spicy rye and the New World hops make more of an impact here. Clean finish although the residual malty/yeasty gunk reappears in the aftertaste. It ain’t a classic, but it’s as good as many craft ’APAs’ that have been foisted on me in the past.

500 ml bottle, bought in London, shared at local tasting. ABV is 4.2%. Deep golden colour, white head. Pleasant aroma of toffee, vanilla and caramel, only a hint of herbal hops. "Typically British" flavour with toffee notes, the hops are distinct only in the bitter aftertaste.
