Hazy golden - amber beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. The malts are thin and very slightly lactose and thin malt cream. Touch of apple. Pithy citrus, mild marmalade. Floral bitterness. Pretty dry and bitter finish. Slightly skewed but okay.

Bottle. Golden-orange and not much of a head. Pale ale with a decent fruit hop nose and a medium bitterness alongside the tropical flavours.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 11/04/10. Deep gold with a frothy, white head. Sweet, orange and caramel aroma with some citrus hops. Surprisingly easy drinking for the ABV, with marmalade flavours and a decent decent dry finish. Very good.

Cask handpump at The Bell, Banbury, Oxon, 22-03-10 Banbury Beer Festival Meeting. Pours warm gold with a thin white lacing for a head The aroma like of all these festival beers has become a little blunted, in this case its sweet but everything else is subtle and hard to detect (they’ve been on now for 3-4 days) but the condition and appearance is still very good as is the temperature. Nice pithy grapefruit in mouth, silky sweet, bitterness lingers, quite lovely stuff. A6 A5 F8 P4 Ov14 3.7

Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Gold, no head. Hop and I thought butter on the aorma. Good hops through out, bit earthy, bit citrusy, some grapefruit, and a nice bite about the beer. It’s fullish and very drinkable.
