The ’Jack of Clubs’ is a bottle conditioned, light ruby ale. Initial malty sweetness from British Crystal malts gives way to a balanced and lengthy hoppy bitterness created using a blend of flavourful and fragrant American hops.

Aroma is weird, cough mixture, malty, real ale style. Treacle, fruity taste. Feels like a mild. Brown bread.

Large bubbly tan head stayed well on a reddish brown body. Malt, caramel & sulphur aroma. Medium to thin bodied, highly carbonated & dry on the back. Caramel, toffee, malt & dark sugar tastes - difficult to assess as it's overly carbonated. Maybe a dodgy bottle?

Bottle from Tesco Supermarket, Borehamwood. Amber-brown with a thick frothy slightly off-white head. Has some bitter malts and some quite tasty bready and grainy malts. There's yeasts in its taste too.

[33cl bottle from Teso, Amersham.] A hazy chestnut pour with a thin beige head; sweet earthy malt aroma; sweet chocolate malt taste with a light bitterness; and a sweet chocolatey finish.

Danke an minutemat. Weich bbitterer, trocken röstiger Beginn. Säuerlich, Noten von Kaffee, die konstante Röstigkeit wandert in den Hintergrund. Malzig bitterer Ausklang. 7/10/8/8/9/9

Bottle from Tesco. Chestnut in colour, with a large, foaming, white head. Sweet, slightly bready malts, caramel, berry fruits, a touch of toast, some leafy hops and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Red brown colour with quick fading head. Aroma has some apple. Flavour has quite a heavy roasted bitterness. Like treacle toffee.
