23rd October 2014
Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Semi dry. Light dry pale malts, grainy sweetness. Little lactose and a light tang. Very mild floral citrus on the backend. Dry finish. Grainy sweetness dominates here. Meh!

Gravity pour, half-pint at the 2014 Bridgnorth Beer Festival. Clear amber in colour, weak white topping. Semi-sweet and fruity in both the nose and taste, very drinkable. Nice blend of flavours and well balanced brew, an old style bitter that is worth finding.

Bottle from Connolly’s Wines, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head and broken long lived lace. The flavour is medium to weak bitter. Medium to light bodied with a smooth malty hop palate. Decent session ale.

April 8th 2019: Cask fresh @ Ludlow Brewery. Pours clear deep amber, off-white head. Aroma has nice overripe berry fruits and banana. Taste is smooth, light on the palate with some interesting banana nuances alongside the caramel sweet malt and berry fruits. Really didn't get this the first time around in bottle. Very good enjoyable amber ale. May 11th 2014: 500ml bottle at home. Pours promising enough with a nice auburn colour, and great head. But hops seem a bit thin on the ground.. tried grasping for malts but they seemed to dissipate like a beer mirage. If only I could get some of the tasty sounding stuff everyone else described below.

Picked this up from Farm shop between Hereford and nowhere (okay Wales) Pours copper colour with thin to med white head good clarity. Nice touch of bitterness, good depth of flavour but not a distinctive beer, follows the herd a little, to be fair the more that I get down this the better it is and in fact it has a rather nice sweet citrus flurry, not great but better than some of the recent ratings suggest I reckon.
