Franders Red on steroids! Auroch has been aged for a year in red wine barrels. Its complex malt bill gives this beer a pleasant depth of plums, raisins and cherry.

From tap at Billie’s, day one. Erosen szaraz, funky, kozepesen-erosen savas. Kisse foldes, pinceszagu. Kellemes.

750ml bottle. Cloudy, auburn colour with minimally late awakening, small to average, very dense, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Tangy, vinous fruity and slightly woody aroma, notes of morello, bramble, dark berries, some plum, blue grapes, a touch of bark, caramel malty basis. Taste is tart, vinous fruity, caramel malty, mildly tangy and minimally woody, diluted notes of bramble, morello, black currant, blue grapes, a touch of plum, bark, black pepper.
Minimally creaamy, watery texture, minimally astringent palate, very fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Wonderful nose, a bit "thin" concerning taste, relatively mild overall - very nice.

12 May 2022. At Hal 16 (Dok Brewing). Cheers to the Teamleader crew!

Hazy red, thinning head. Aroma of malt vinegar, sour red grape, unripe plumm, fruit cake, vague caramel, tea leaves, rhubarb. Taste has sour plum, grape & red apple in a biscuity, very vaguely caramelly malt body with a dash of funky vinegar. Tart finish offering red fruits, woody tannins and generally hidden red wine-like alcohol. Medium body, slick-creamy texture, average carbonation. Very elegant 'resurrection' of this style, lovely!

37.5cl bottle, BB 21/09/2021, lot# P54.
