Pale amber beer with a sweet, citrus aroma. Flavour is an interesting blend of malt and tangy fruit hop flavours. The finish is slightly sour but the shame of it is that the flavour and finish both dissipate quite swiftly. A perfectly pleasant beer but with a bit more... something it could have been really very nice.

Golden with a small head. It has an excellent pale ale aroma with a fruitiness evident although this is less stated in taste.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Poured a clear light amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is of malt and a hint of toffee caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a malty, hoppy bitter, weak liqourice palate.

[330ml bottle from Sainsbury’s, High Wycombe] Light amber with a small cream head and a light to moderate fizz. Caramel dominates with a bit of orange and some pepper in the finish. Tastes rather cheap and sticky by the end. This is not destined to rank amongst the great classic IPAs.

Bottle from Sainsburys Kidlington, Oxon, consumed at home 01.08.13 Pours light golden with white head, touch of tinniness tingling about the edges, but reasonable body. Touch muddled but hops are there, I don’t mind it, and certainly won’t be sniffy about it because its a Sainsburys effort at getting in on the act. I’ve definately had a lot worse but also a lot better as well. It’s fine. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov13 3.1

Aroma is a bit stale, like boiled vegetables. Flavour is somewhat better. The hops deliver a little sharpness and decent level of bitterness. Feels really rough and unrefined though. Not good.

Bottle at home from Sainsburys. Sweet caramel maltvaroma . some fruity american c hop aroma. Flavour is sweetish cara malt. Some c hop. Pale amber. Short lived white head. Too sweet and not enough hops for an IPA.

Hopfiger, etwas alkoholischer Antrunk. Angenehme Malzigkeit und Hopfennoten, spritzig, harmonisch. Hopfiger, schnell abflachender Ausklang. 10/10/9/9/11/9
