(Cask at Edgar Wallace, Aldwych, London, 19 April 2017) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with apricots, earthy hops and hints of oak wood. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, apricots, malt syrup, wood and a sweetish finish with a balanced earthy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Cask at Duke Inn, Sutton Coldfield - Rusty looking body, no head. Nose has very little going on as it’s going to be a disappointment. Taste is very malty, bitter and quite aromatic.

Bottle from Tesco’s. Poured a dark amber with a thin off-white head. The aroma is of tracle and toffee. The flavour is medium bitter with a malty, yeast, hoppy palate and a refreshing bitter malt finish.
