From tap at Borefts 2018. Aroma is big smoked bacon with fruity juniper, smoked malt, caramel, weird yeast, and ash. Wow quite unforgiving. Massive smoke, sweetish, bold flavour and aroma. Body is medium. Old and earthy, interesting.

Version #2 at 8.2% ABV, on tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Intense aroma of smoked stjørdalsmalt, also notes of tar and old rope. The flavour has a slight fruitiness which helps the drinkability, otherwise it is all about smoke, smoke and more smoke. And tar. No hops in this beer.

Borefts X. I'm ten for ten! Day 2. Keg. Hazy deep amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, good fine carbonation. Smooth and sweetish malts, some malt cream. Obvious smoke but it never gets acrid. Tangy fruits and spicy juniper. Spicy wood. Light dry finish. Quite intense but well jojned up.

Sampled at Borefts 2018, Day 1. Dark amber to red-brown color, no head. Aroma is incredibly peaty smoky. Taste malts, smoke, light red fruit notes. Hard to describe but pretty interesting beer. Not bad. Don't let the aroma fool you, it's worth a try. Decent. 5-2-7-3-15.
