Bottle shared at Ganz. Opaque golden pour with a white head. Nose is fruity esters, some spice, funky brett, restrained leather notes, wood. In taste the estery, somewhat sweet and fruity notes of the base beer and the funk complement each other nicel, laying layer on layer. Somewhat sweet yet semi-dry with a decent body. Pleasant and rather round.

Bottle split at the Autumn Watford tasting, thanks to Fergus, 24/09/21. Hazed orange with a decent off white head. Nose is punchy fruit esters, caramel, straw, light farmyard notes. Taste comprises tangy fruits, sharp pineapple, grapefruit jelly, caramel, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol and a dusty bretted climax. Solid well balanced Tripel that belies its ABV.

Bottle shared in Watford - cheers to Fergus. Pours lightly hazed orange-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Medium sweet flavour, lightly tangy, some citric notes, mellow booze, doughy biscuits, maybe a slight butyric note. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some lemony tang, a little cheese, mild funk, tangerine. Interesting.

Bottle. Part of the CW Christmas box. Definitely named after our very own Hopbomber. Vibrant orange gold. Medium haze. Fine white head. Nose has orange peel. Bready grain. Touch of red wine. Some fruit loaf. Taste is light sweet, with some estery character. Light dry and light bitter. Light to medium body easily belies the ABV. Finish gets a bit modern and juicy. Nice one.
