[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Black, small beige head. Good rich roasty coffee up front, but by the end itโ€™s got rather sweet and sticky. Possibly on the thin side for the strength, but at least this offsets the sweetness a bit. OK overall.

Cask handpull at Spoons Ashford. Black beer with lasting beige head. Roasty fruity dark beer. Rather tasty I thought. Bit watery in mouth really. And quite roasted on the finish. Decent fruits.

Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley. Pitch black in colour with a scummy looking beige head; aroma of chocolate malt; sweet and milky with a chocolate malt favour mingling with some well done toast; then a gently bitter finish. A pleasant porter.

Cask at The Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours a clear brown with a slight, off-white head. Has a faint roasted malt aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor, has some tobacco, modest roast, faint burnt sugar, faint leafy bitterness. Light bodied with soft to fine carbonation. Alright balance on the finish, bit of bitter roast, coffee grounds, faint mocha, some dark sugars. Very drinkable.
