Cask at the William Morris (JDW), Hammersmith. Hazy amber with a dense cream head; breakfast cereal aroma; oily with some tropical fruit flavours; the finish is light with a short hit of bitterness. Very drinkable, certainly not as heavy as I expected.

Cask at Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours clear russet with a faint, white head. Sweet-smelling aroma, lots of candy and jam, some cake and bread. Damn this beer is sweet! Almost syrupy, but thankfully not too cloying. Prominent marmelade, other juicy citrus, some faint toffee, hints of tangy and earthy hops. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes lightly warming and sticky with sugar, some more jam, brown sugar, malty bread in the background. I think this beer in better condition would be quite good, as it is it ain’t bad.

Cask. A nut-brown beer with a light tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and nice grassy and fruity hop notes, leading to a dry grassy and grapefruity finish where notes of toffee lingers.

Hazy amber color. The aroma is sweet, malty, with caramel and fruity hops. Round mouthfeel, excellent caramel flavor, residual sugars that stick on the lips, vibrant hopping, lightly fruity. Balanced final. Wonderful.
