Had this one at Gouda Winterbierfestival 2011. Dark red color, fine smell and really fine carbs.

Bottle at ’t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Clear dark red - brown beer. Little pale tan head. Light soft palate, dry and soft. Creamy malt with spicy licorice. Trace of Dr Pepper. Some dark orange marmalade. Creamy finish. Nice.

33cl Bottle at ’t Arendsnest. The beer is now brewed at their own premises and has a higher ABV than the previous Scrooge. Deep dark reddish brown colour, frothy off white head. Aroma of citrus, lots of hops, spices, dark roasted malts, fruits. Flavour is sweet, malty, dark fruits, some spices, citrussy hops, nice hoppy bitter finish as well. Medium to fullbodied. Good stuff.

Low Countries Ratebeer Meeting 2. Cloudy brown colour with no head. Sour woody aroma, some fruit, but not wonderful and too woody for me.
