750ml bottle from Fram Ferment. Opened with an explosive pop! Slightly hazy pale yellow colour, big fizzy foamy white head that dissipates away and aroma of fruity pear, some funk. Taste is sweetish, pear, fruity, some light funk and soft tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, medium fruity pear finish. Quite drinkable.

75cl bottle all to myself! Woohoo! Appearance - lovely 'pfut' noise as the cap comes off. Champagne-esque! Golden with very steady bubbles and the mousse is very fine indeed. Nose - dry tangy, apples and pears. Apple skin is prevalent. Taste - more dry apple skin and the pear is definitely more prominent now. Palate - intensely rich, while at the same time being long and lean and tight through the entire journey. Overall - great example. Hard to explain in terms of notes and tastes, it's more about the palate.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours clearish pale greenish yellow with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, earthy, juicy, pear candy, sherbet, candied pear and sugary action. The taste is crisp, dry, fairly sweet, pear, sherbet, quite bright, touch of acidity, spritzy and refreshers with a dry finish. Medium body is fine, spritzy carbonation. A bit on the sweet side for these guys, but it's OK.
