Bottle at Langley Castle. It pours near black with a small light tan head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, chocolate and coffee. The taste is roasted malt, scorched earth, coffee grinds, bitter chocolate and toast with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good balanced and drinkability. A solid stout.

Cask @ Borough, Lancaster. A very thick textured stout that is black with a creamy head. Has a big roasted coffee aroma that is certainly evident in its taste, but less so.
