For this brew, Anne & Jacques wanted to play, they gave us the new Alsatian hops Aramis in support of the traditional Strisselspalt and Hallertau. Added to this is very long aging, triple fermentation, and a massive dose of four different barley malts.

Bottleshare on the England Football team night of shame! Thanks to Fergus. Almost clear amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is soft and mildly dry. Reasonable fine carbonation. Light dry sweetness, mild paper. A little spice. Dry floral finish. Passable.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s place, 27/06/2016. Picked up in Strasbourg. A dull amber orange coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma iswoody berries, stale sweet grains, orange peel, some dried apple. Flavour is composed of bready nutty malts, dried apple, stale grains, apple and a little cinnamon spice. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, dusty dry finish. ok.

Bottle at Bespin, thanks to Fergoose, 27/06/16. Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent light beige swirl and spotting. Nose is tangy fruit, light spice, pissy notes, damp hay. Taste comprises fruit esters, light caramel, floral notes, soft bread, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours clear brown with a medium white head. The aroma is toasted grain, cereal, brown bread, leather, spoil, wood and dirt. The taste is bitter, spicy, brown bread, leather, wood, toasted grain, light metallic vibe, tannins and some astringency with a very dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Ok.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear orange-gold with frothy white head. Grainy malts in the nose, some ripe and rindy orange. Light to medium sweet flavour with touches of grape gummies, more grains, simple bread. Light bodied with creamy carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, slight alcohol, toasted cereal, grainy biscuits, berries. Tasty enough.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Matten - Vivement l’été ].[ Trade by jaghana ]. Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, flowers, light to moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, flowers - fruity, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft - fizzy. [20140408]

bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourg. Hazy goldn with a white head. Hoppy nose. Malty with a fruity touch and some aromatic hops that add more fruity flavours. Good beer from a reliable brewery.

Bottle from Village de la Biere. Nice amber color with medium off-white head. Quite sweet malty up front, with some stone fruits, cardboard caramel and a subtle spicy ness. Taste is quite sweet but well balanced with fresh bitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Decent.
