Bouteille 500ml. De couleur cuivrée et légèrement voilée. Nez malté de caramel aux notes terreuses, de céréales légèrement rôties, léger de houblon floral et herbeux ainsi qu’avec des notes de levures fruitées (pommes) et de pain. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement plutôt bas et une texture légèrement huileuse et aux notes aqueuses. Notesde levures fruitées (agrumes, faibles notes de pommes) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un goût malté de caramel moyennement terreux et aux notes rôties ainsi qu’un léger goût de grains de céréales et des notes de pain mouillé puis en finale, l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux aux notes florales sèches. Post-goût moyen aux faibles notes sèches, très légèrement amer de houblon herbeux aux notes florales avec de petites notes fruitées (agrumes) et sucrées.

Originally rated January 2006. Bought at the Dépanneur de la Rive in Cap-Rouge, Quebec. Pours a golden-amber colour with a nice creamy off-white head. Retention is so-and-so and lacing is good all around. Its aromas are of hop and caramel malt. Thin mouthfeel. The flavours are mild, with some floral and light fruitness, and slight hop in the aftertaste. Good potential here, but too light and smooth. If you want the real thing, try Ruddles County Ale.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt base with unrefined grain is more or less pleasant. Taste is also dominating dry unrefined grain notes with some lingering sweetness. Body is slightly below average with OK carbonation. Nothing here is really likely to make me want to buy this again.

Brown bottle, 500 ml; eye: amber with caramel reflections, beige head that disappears to leave a ring around the glass, clear, slight effervescence,; nose: lots of nice hops and of caramel, slight Madeira; mouth: in that order, hops, caramel, significant drop in taste, watery and thin texture, thin finale in hops and caramel with a slight presence of Madeira, goes down well, mildly bitter, lightly sweet, medium body, not much carbonation: overall: okt FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 500 ml; oeil : ambrée avec des relets caramel, mousse beige qui disparaît rapidement pour laisser un petit anneau autour du verrre, claire, très légère effervescence; nez : beaucoup de houblon agréable et de caramel, très légèrement madérisée; bouche : houblon, caramel, baisse marquée du goût, texture aqueuse et plutôt mince, finale mince en houblon et caramel avec une petite présence de madère, a descend b’en, moyennement amère, légèrement sucrée, corps moyen, peu carbonatée; en résumé : correct

Dark amber colour. Very fresh crystal malt aroma with dark fruits, slight pine. A hint of pine sol on the palate, moderate maltiness and maybe a light fruitiness.

Amber ale with a lightly hoppy aroma. Good hops in mouth, slightly floral. Weaker bodied beer. Nice try.
