A blonde IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, nice piney floral hops with citrus notes and faint sulfur. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with floral resinous hops, lingering, nicely made. Bottle at Hivern?ale, Jan 25 2012.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of fruity hops with tropical notes. Taste is also dominated by tropical fruit notes with some fruity ester and light bitter notes. Malt backbone is quite discreet with a small amount of residual sugar. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Decent but not really a type of hops that procure me with enough enjoyment.

Aroma: We can easily smell the grapefruit of these American hops with other citrus like lemon zest. The presence of little meat notes are making that nose a bit less pleasant. Appearance: Average creamy head, long lasting and lacing acceptable. Color gold blond very clear. Taste: Very hoppy and lemon attack. Long lasting bitterness. Lemon and grapefruit are dominant flavors with grassy notes. A lot of bitterness. For real amateurs. To my opinion though, flavors are too basic and missing complexity. Texture is good and round but this beer is only hop and bitterness although you can can find tiny malty accents like biscuit and caramel when warmer.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur dorée et claire. Nez floral, moyen de houblon herbeux aux petites notes citriques et résineuses, moyennement fruité (agrumes, traces de fruits tropicaux) ainsi que léger de malt pâle sucré et de miel. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture moyennement huileuse aux notes résineuses. Goût moyennement amer de houblon légèrement floral et citrique (une amertume présente toute la gorgée) accompagné d’un moyen goût fruité (agrumes, faibles traces d’abricots et de mangues) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de grains de malt sucrés avec des notes de céréales fraîches puis à mesure qu’on approche la finale, une amertume asséchante, herbeuse (herbes sèches, traces de thé) et moyennement résineuse vient prendre toute la place. Post-goût très long et sec, amer de houblon herbeux, moyennement résineux, floral et légèrement citrique avec un goût fruité (zeste d’agrumes).
