750 ml bottle. Pours an orange/gold color. Overall earthy apples with a lot of dry, tongue scraping carbonation. Nice enough, though prefer the Traditional.

Bottle from Super U Thury-Harcourt. Pours clear orange with some fine lacing. Sweet and dry apples, very woody and somewhat nutty. Moderate sweet, quite dry and bitter, light tart green apple. Medium body and soft carbonation. A bit dull and plain but still quite alright. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bayeux Brut on 16 Aug 2019 at 21:16 - Score: 7

75cl bottle from Super U. One of those neglected bottles at the back of the shelf I thought was about time I opened. Pours clear gold, warm almost boozy rich woody apple aroma. Taste is fizzy, moderately sweet with complex subtle vanilla & caramel, and an oaky finish. A touch too fizzy but a lovely Normandy Cidre all the same.

750ml bottle from Drinkswell, Ripon. Clear orangey gold colour, foamy white head and aroma of tart fruity apple, wood, barnyard. Taste is dry, fruity apple, woody oak, vanilla, barnyard notes and bittersweet with some tannin. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tart light tannic fnish. Very drinkable.

750 c&c from a shop in Port en Bessin. Pours darkish gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma of fresh apple juice with a touch of wood. Medium body. Fizzy carb. Flavor is primarily apple juice with a touch of skin and an even lighter touch of wood. Lightly astringent from time to time. I think it’s even a bit earthy, but if it is, not very. My tongue feels like wood has been applied. It drinks very nicely.
