The Emilisse Stout is enhance by a blend of fine Italian espresso beans used in the brewing process. It boasts a blend of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta, which combine to give the Emilisse Espresso Stout an extra-spicy, full-bodied palate.

Cask at gbbf 2013. Thanks Colin. Dark caramel. Thin tan halo. Aroma is choc alcohol and soft roast. Medium body. Dark roast. Caramel. Pretty good. Bottle at home picked up at the brewery. 25/12/2014. Dark brown / black coloured pour with a thin tan head. This bottle is about 18 months old. Aroma is nutty sweet caramel, touch of salt and nice sherry, dark fruits. Coffee aroma is less pronounced. Flavour is composed of rich sweet cakey malts with tart dark dried fruits, biting roast grains in the finish. Palate is full and somewhat sticky, lowish carbonation. Maybe a little too much age on this bottle. Lingering harsh burnt toffee and caramelised sugars. A bit better this time around.

Znakomite i pyszne mocne piwo imperial stout. Wazone przy udziale kawy espresso. Wiec uwaga moze podniesc cisnienie. Takze alkohol wyczuwalny w koncowce, ktora jest dluga i gozka. Piwo jest geste ze spora piana i co zadkie przy tym gatunku bardzo metne. Sporo osadu czekoladowo-kawowego co barwi piwo na brudny odcien brazu. Polecam kawosza

at graspop metal meeting 2013, bottle . smell is coffee, pure coffee taste, late bitterness. ok, but no complexity as all . the coffee taste ( o a non-coffee drinker) is OK. i’ve hyad way better in beer ( the kopi luwak - beers ! ) but i had a lot worse as well. this just aint my type of thing, i supose.

zwart, schuimig bruine kraag aroma: moutig, chocolade, koffie, gebrande mouten smaken: matig zoet, zwaar bitter, veel te sterke en overheersende koffiesmaken, geroosterde- en gebrande mouten, donkere bittere chocolade medium tot volle body, kleverig, afdronk: kruidig, zoetig en droog bier is best ok, en er zijn vast veel liefhebbers voor de vinden die het kunnen waarderen. Alleen is dit niet mijn smaak, vindt het veel te sterk en overheersend en kan mij niet bekoren. --2e rating in de verwachting dat ik de eerste beoordeling wellicht iets te negatief had neergezet, maar na een aantal slokken toch bij mijn initiële rating gebleven .

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a dark mahogany colour with a thin broken off-white head. As one might expect, the aroma is huge coffee. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with lots of alcohol liqourice bitterness, coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate. There is a hint of sweetness on the palate too. A superb beer and one of my favourites from Emelisse.

Bottled 330ml. -from Sörspecialista.hu, Budapest. Black coloured, medium sized brown head, pure coffee nose. Roasted malt, coffee and light chocolate with rather sharp hint of alcohol. Bitterish roasty finish. Pleasant but all in all nothing exciting here.
