440ml can as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Very, very extremely and intensely dark brown witha small and quickly dissipating brown head. Dark malts, dark chocolate, rubber. Intense taste with salted caramel, bitter cooking chocolate, Marmite. And coffee coffee coffee. Not too too bitter but certainly not sweet. Full soupy body with little carbonation. Almost needs to be described in concepts, drunk in the shadows of reality.

Tap @ Christianssand Brygghus. Pitch black body with a big, stable, dense, lacing beige head. The most perfect looking stout I have seen so far. Strong aroma of roasted malt, roasted coffee, oak and alcohol. Flavor is also strong with lots of heavy roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, wood and boozy alcohol. Feels rather sweet but seems to end a bit dry after a while. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste with lots of malt and alcohol. Basically way too boozy but it’s made in a kind of strange balance as I find it rather pleasant anyway giving this beer some time and just sipping it during half an hour or something like that. Impressive and definitive a big beer this.

Can ordered from the brewery. Aroma has bitter coffee with molasses and underlying berries. Dark. Glossy. The lights reflects off it. Tan head soon fades. Medium bitter. Roasty. Coffee. Tar. Salt liquorice. A dose of molasses takes the edge off. Thick bodied. Oily. Flat-average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Big in taste and palate. Yet smooth. Hail Cthulu.

Bottle at home on the roof. Black with tan head. Big sweet sticky deep roasted malts, molasses, charcoal, coffee. Big sweet and bitter. Over medium body and soft fizzy carbonation. Very deep roasted, almost burnt. It’s tasty but feels terribly unhealthy to drink. YOLO 😝
