September 2018 version sampled early 2021. Pours a very very dark brown. Small, yet relatively stable cream colored head. Scent is coockie dough, chocolate, roasty. Taste is fairly full, intense notes of roast, as well as a strong bourbon presence. Coockie dough is way less here. A very smooth flavor, that balances well and great. Bit on the thin side, with medium carbonation. Too bad it's not a oily stout (what I was craving ATM) but aroma wise, this is awesome.

Bottle shared at Kingsday Tasting 2019. Opaque nearly black color, decent sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, milk chocolate, hazelnut, sweetish and a slight bitter touch in the distance. Good. 8-4-8-4-16.

Bottle. A- Burnt marshmallow, hazelnuts, graham cracker, ash, subtle whisky. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Burnt marshmallow, graham cracker, nutty, ash, mild booze. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- At just over six months old, I was shocked at how little barrel aging I could taste. That part seemed to be minimal, maybe for the best. The charred marshmallow and graham cracker spice/nuttiness overtake for the most part. Even the chocolate is fairly subdue being replaced mostly with an ash/char flavor. I imagine this beer is good in the dead cold of winter or the hot summer nights. Drinks easy and not too terribly sweet.

On tap at Belmont Station. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium grey head. A big roasty nose, huge sweet elements. Spicy, huge sweet vanilla and marshmallow, oily, chocolate and ash. Very sweet, fits the name very well.
