Hoppy Dortmunder Lager. Leeds is twinned with Dortmund in Germany, and home to the Dortmund Drayman statue. This is a modern interpretation of a Dortmunder, dry hopped with a whole load of Citra.

Can picked up from Mad Squirrel Taproom and Bottleshop, High Wycombe consumed at home Thursday 13th September 2018 Gold in colour with an off white head. Some bread and biscuity malt jostle with the hops on the nose. Pleasant fruity bitter bite the biscuity edge shows again, it's a nice beer if a little confusing, not really sure what it's trying to be but I like it, which is the main thing. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov15 3.6

440ml can. Pours clear golden amber with a large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of citrus fruits, pale malts. Taste is the same, more citrus fruits, lemon, orange peel, light sweet malts, light oil/resin. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation. Decent hoppy lager.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazed, pale amber gold. Messy, foamy, scummy, off white head. Nose has baked citrus. Fruited loaf. Spicy biscuit. Some pungent, weedy, hop oil. Taste is fairly sweet, with a touch of spice, and oily bitterness. Medium body. A little slick. Soft carbonation. Oily bitterness to finish. It’s not lacking hops, this.

Not sure I've ever had a Dortmunder before, but this is fantastic! Light, clean & hoppy.

Keg at HL3. It pours lightly hazy dark orange v- copper with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet, bready, doughy, sponge cake, orange marmalade, tangerine, grass and spice The taste is bitter - sweet, more malty than expected, orange sponge cake, marmalade, tangy, metallic, earth and light spice with dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Not bad. Drank a pint of it, which doesn't happen again too often.
