In collaboration with our friends at Hawkes Cider, this Brut Graff is a bridge between beer and cider. Hawkes provided Braeburn apple juice that was added to the whirlpool, then co-fermented with Hawkes' house yeast and London Fog Ale yeast to create a beer that is super dry whilst retaining fruity and floral yeast esters. Finishing with hints of sweet spice and gentle cider tartness from the Braeburn apples.

Can at BD Castlegate. It pours clear greenish - yellow with no head. The aroma is soft, sweet, candy, sugary, pear, boiled sweets, white grape, spice, must and candied apple. The taste is firmly dry, musty, earthy, white grape, earthy, melon, must, straw, apple skin, pear cores, earth and light tannin with a soft, sweet appley finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Ok, not sure it quite works.

Can 330ml (Utobeer)
Clear yellow colour, no head. Aroma has orange peels, green apple, rubber. Brut IPA or some pale lager like. Light-bodied. Crisp. Pale malts, tartish green apple, citrus ... watery finish. Bland brut+apple-combination. Nope ...

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Craft n Draft. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. Tasty stuff, a little like a saison, with mild yeast expression, wheat flakes, lemon rind, then some apple notes. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more wheat, soft lemon, apple impressions. Tasty.

Can. Bright clear paleish gold beer, fast dissapating small white head. Light crisp palate, mildly dry, light fine minerally crisp. A nice appley vibe, a thin but bright cider vibe. Modest piney hops. Modest citrus. Light finish. More cider than beer, but entertaining.

330ml can. Hazy straw yellow, no head. Aroma of overripe slightly rotten apples. Taste of overripe apples, floral, straw, very dry, almost sparkling carbonation, acidic. Medium body. Not really doing much for me.
