The first Vienna Lager was brewed in the city that gave the beer its name in 1841, and it introduced most of Europe to the clean flavour of modern lagers. We brewed ours with Vienna malt and a small amount of caramel malt, for a beautiful amber colour and bready character, and used three classic German hop varieties for a light bitterness and floral hop character. We adjusted the pH with Donzoko's own lactic acid culture, fermented it with Braybrooke's house lager yeast, and matured it cold for 30 days. The end result is a delicious lager, with a slight malt sweetness, but also light enough to be enjoyed over and over again.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured an orange with bubble white head. Aroma is grain, bubblegum, fruit. Taste is nice crispy with some banana fruit, not overpower and really drinkable.

6/2/2021. Can shared at the second Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. England vs Brazil. From Hoptimism. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, biscuit, grass. Medium biscuity sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Nice for the style. More to the taste than the aroma.

Can from HoTM. It pours lightly hazy copper with a frothy white head. The aroma is earthy, biscuit, cereal, grass, spice, brown bread, rivita and a touch of nuttiness. The taste is dry, touch of bitterness, spicy, brown bread, nutty, cereal, grass, earth, rivita and brown bread with a drying, spicy finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Well rounded and robust.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from a Hackney bottle shop, maybe AGB HD. Pours clear honey-gold with a frothy, white head. Lightly sweet with lovely sun-kissed biscuits, nips of caramel, dough, a hint of straw. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, more bready malts, more biscuits, low bitterness, caramel accents. Super drinkable.
