Bag in Box at Jacobs, Bradford. It pours clear yellow with no head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, powdery, ripe pear, pear drops, some tartness and candy. The taste is dry, slick, almost tart, slick, bitter, juicy, oily pear, tangy and some tannin with a slick, tangy finish. Medium body, flat and oily. Quite nice tangy pear character.

Cask 1/3 pint, gravity dispense, at the 16th Twickenham Beer & Cider Festival, as Newton Court Winnals Longdon (don’t know if the spelling error is with RateBeer or the festival). Medium dry perry. ABV was 5.3%. Very pale yellow colour. Dryish aroma and flavour of pears.

Plastic cask at GBBF 08. Perry aroma, slightly cheesy. Hazy gold with hint of green. Not hugely dry, some fruit sweetness. Stewed pears flavour and very drinkable. That’s good. Lovely fruit flavour.
