Cask at William Stead JDW Darlington. Gluten Free. Dark brown colour, tan foam head and aroma of rhubarb, malt. Taste is sweetish, malty, chocolate hint, with tart rhubarb & custard notes, and roasty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying rhubarby spiced bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle from Drink? Hebden Bridge. Extremely dark and hazy red with a head. Dark fruity, the rhubarb is prevalent but not particularly sweet. There's some light bready notes involved too.

Fra cask på 37th Fleetwood Beer & Cider Festival 2019. Delt med Rune. Mørkebrun. Behagelig rabarbraaroma. Filmskum. Smaken vassen rabarbra. Annerledes - men ikke helt vellykket.

Bottle thanks to the sister in law. It pours deep reddish brown with a medium white head. The aroma is earthy, floral, pot pourri, rhubarb, black tea and a touch of jam. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, tannin, earth, soft rhubarb, black tea, floral, pot pourri and spice with a drying and woody finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Fair enough for what it is.

Cask at the 28th Ealing Beer Festival. Pours clear bronze brown with a lasting average sized bubbly off-white head. Aroma dominated by rhubarb and custard sweets, with light sweet malt. Moderately heavy sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Toward medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Finish is sweet with a tart edge.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol. Deep brown in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Ginger, vanilla oak, a touch of red berry and some green rhubarb, before a moderately bitter finish. Fine as a novelty.

500ml bottle from Cannon Hall Farm Shop - clear red to brown body, little white head. Nose is rhubarb and custard sweets. Taste is medicinal with the rhubarb hitting on the way out. Strange beer.

8th March 2015
Crystal clear deep amber beer, small cream colour head. Light snout of Rhubarb crumble. Palate is light and dry with a fine minerally crispness. Taste follows the nose, Rhubarb crumble but not sweet and actually a little bitter. Very dry finish with a floral Rhubarb linger. Nice job flavour wise but the palate is thin and dry.
