Lavt tett skum. Lett ferskenaroma. Smaken litt kokos. Tørr etter hvert. Litt kandissukker i ettersmaken.

On tap at brewery pub 09 des 2011. Amber colour with a small off white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. A solid malt background with a fresh hoppy flavour. Very fresh and good tasting beer, but not as dark as I would have expected from a christmas brew, I could drink this the whole year around :-)

(Draught at the brewpub, 5 Nov 2009) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dark fruit, caramel and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, citrus and earthy hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. The aromas are a bit closed in the nose, but come through better in the full-flavoured taste. Nice and well balanced beer.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s served slightly hazy and copper-colored. Probably chill-haze, as it seems clear when I finish it. A small off-white head leaves lacings. Fruity in a quite Belgian way, with dried fruits, caramel and more hops than I normally expect from OMB. Caramel, dried fruits, some fresh ones too, a touch of anise and other spices and a fine bitterness. Is it the yeast that gives the spicy flavors? Medium body, creamy and nicely carbonated. Maybe a bit too carbonated, not sure. The finish continues what is found initially, with spices, fruits and a good bitterness. A really pleasant Christmas beer. Almost Belgian-like in a way, bitter, effervescent, slightly spiced and moreish. (081114)

2007 edition, pint on tap at the brew pub. Perfect served at ambient temperature. Partly unclear, mahogany body under a fragile, filmy off-white layer. Plain dark malty aroma. Plenty of dark malts in flavour. Moderate sweetness. The aroma is very well interwoven with the taste in this one. Moderate to full palate. Well made xmas brew (enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere on a Tuesday evening 13.11.2007)

Draught at the brewpub. Served far too cold. This is a seasonal Yule/Christmas ale. Deep reddish brown colour, hazy. Pleasant malty aroma and flavour with caramel and spices. A bit too carbonated for my taste.
