50cl Fles bij Brownscombe. Roest, ijzer, dun, wat caramel, vrij smaakloos verder. Niet best.

Dyp brun med offwhite skum. Lukter malt, mørkt brød og vørter. Denne flasken har ikke kullsyre. Så da blir den veldig tam. Maltpreg med noe urter I avslutningen.

Bottle from the Food Shop in Dartington. Appearance - amber with a proportionate head. Nose - caramel and biscuits. Some pine maybe. Taste - more caramel biscuits and some citrus and pine subtly wafting in. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Dry balanced finish. Overall - another solid bitter.

[Cask at the festival at the Bull, Barkham.] A pale chestnut pour with a tight cream head; malty aroma; bittersweet malty taste with a biscuity body and some fruit; then a Garibaldi biscuit finish. A rather good bitter.

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen at Tau slipp og båtbyggeri 02.09.17. Clear red copper. Persistent beige head and lacing. Fruity aroma and taste, with medium dark malt and English hops. Very quaffable.

500 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.3%. Brown to dark amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma of malts, chocolate and dark berries. Malty flavour but fairly dry, slight roast, again notes of chocolate, hints of caramel, a little fruit. Moderate hops. Still much better than expected after reading the other ratings, more than nice enough to drink. Might well buy again.
