Pint on keg at The Great Escape, Bridgwater. Pours clear pale golden with a loose white head. Aroma: biscuit malts, grains, hint of lemon. Taste: clean & crisp, grassy hop, lemon drops. Light body, light carb, light bitter finish

Keg at Wild Lime, Reading. Dull pale gold with a white head and light fizz. Pleasant grassy hops up front are soon overtaken by a buttery taste and mouthfeel which leaves a sweet, greasy aftertaste. Not great, but it did at least notch up my 50th Cornish rate and thus make my world a little bluer.

Keg at the Pickerel, Cambridge. Light yellow with a frothy white head. Sour herbal scent. Some citrus but it ain’t quite what it should be. Lively taste though; lemon sherbet-y sweet and the modest addition of thyme certainly adds something. Sourness on the finish. It isn’t a rock star beer by any means but certainly has its moments.

Keg half-pint in The Station: Oakengates on 25th July 2016. Usual Lager/Pilsner golden, clean and clear look, white head too. Very sweet version of the style, Barley Sugar sweet with both caramel and toffee also. My sweet tooth took to it, the wife couldn’t drink her’s.

Half pint from keg at Grape and Grain, Crystal Palace. Shared with Finn. Spotty lacing from a dissipating white head. Bright golden body. Very modest aroma of grain with a citric hint. Some grain and grass to the taste buds. Slightly sweet pale malty ending. Clean in the mouth. Rather tasteless (Greater London 28.11.2015).

Pours gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is light spice, light bread and a fresh fruit note. Med minus body; sharpish carbonation. Flavor isn’t very pils, and the aftertaste is a bit distasteful. Not sure how to describe it - except to posit it has a muddy herb aspect. ?
