Sample at SBWF 2018. Golden with a small white head. Light with some citrus, malt and some light hay. The body was light.

Cask at the Fox & Hounds, West Burton. Gold with a white head. Tropical fruit aroma, but just lemon on tasting. Pretty one dimensional; seems to get less tasty the more you drink and ends maybe a little dull. Still ok though.

Live rating: 500ml bottle: BB 14th Aug 18. Poured into a Black Sheep pint sleeve home on 18th Mar 18. Proper golden body, clean, clear and bright; on top a smooth white foam blanket. Bit 'fizzy' in the mouth. Right, let's get the aroma; citrus notes in a malt laden nose. The taste is also on the citrus side and again with plenty of maltiness giving a light sweetness to the brew. Tangy, crisp and 'fizzy', it's a summers day beer, not a snow on the ground winter brew (there's snow on the ground today).

On tap at the Golden Eagle, Lincoln. Slight hazy on this pale golden beer with a white head. Aroma citrus and light tropical fruity. Taste citrus sweet and a touch juicy. Medium body.

Handpull cask at the Clarendon, Cambridge. Golden, very clear, with a large white head. The head dissipates quickly leaving quite a lot of lacing. Sulphurous apple and floral aroma. Taste is reasonable. A nice appley bite with a bittersweet sulphur note. Sour astringent finish. Drinkable but unexciting. Not really an APA but of course it isn’t.

Cask at the Blue Lion, Clerkenwell on 3rd March 2017. Pale amber with shallow off-white ring-and-film. Citrus on the nose. Caramel malt and tart citrus peel in-mouth, and a sweet fruity finish. Light body and mouthfeel, affording easy drinking.

Half-pint, cask ale at The Ship in Chelmsford. Clear, amber-gold in body appearance, dotted spots from a tiny white head. Bread and a bit of vinegar grass on the nose. Mid-sweet grainy flavour with a slight note of vinegar. Drying end. Not in its best condition (16.02.2017).
