Harvested in the plains at medium altitude, it offers a delicate and balanced coffee with velvety body. Notes of chocolate, hazelnuts, followed by sweet spice, melon and flower tones.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up From Etre. Pours deep brown with a frothy, beige cap. Medium sweet flavour, nice black coffee, dark chocolate, nips of ash, burnt toffee, scorched earth and raisins. Medium bodied with fine, velvety carbonation. Minimal warmth in the finish, hints of sticky burnt sugars, more fresh black coffee, toothy roast, earth, cocoa. Solid.

24/VIII/21 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ summer holiday in France, BB: I/2026, Lot 047/20 (2021-958)
Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of coffee, caramel touch, milk chocolate, little malty. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter, gentle roast, coffee notes, bit sweet, some caramel, more coffee, bitter roast, little hoppy. Aftertaste: more coffee, roasted, pretty bitter, caramel touch, bitter finish, some alcohol. Too much coffee for my liking, but not bad.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 01/2026, lot# 047/20.

Muddy deep brown to black body. Sweet coffee aroma with liquorice. Moderately sweet moderately bitter flavour. Quite ok.
04-08-21 // 330ml bottle. Loads of roasted malts, bitter chocolate and obviously loads of coffee. Balance is good. A little more sweeter yet with enough roast character to counterbalance.

Bottle from Geers. Cloudy black, thinning, beige head. Aroma of cold coffee, cigarette tobacco, pepper, cocoa nibs, toast, ash, roasted peanut. Taste has sweetish dried fig, prune & an almost tangible brown bread-like maltiness, subtle creamy undertone until distinct hints of hazelnut, peanut & chestnut take over, going over a bitter toasty & roasted coffee-like middle. Toasty, peppery & herbal hoppy finish, more pronounced tobacco & coffee roast, soft alcohol glow. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very nicely balanced but unmistakeably a coffee Stout.
