Found this one at TJ's in Burlington, VT. Pours a slightly unfiltered golden-amber colour with an off-white frothy small cap that has average retention and minimal lace. Carbonation is made of tiny bubbles. Fruity hibiscus nose over the Belgian Ale yeast, spices and rich malts. The taste is definitely one of a Belgian Tripel with the spicy malt combination. The hibiscus shows in the finish, staying on the tongue. Nicely brewed Tripel with not too much hibiscus to add something different. Might be just a tad too rich to have more than one at a time.

From Plainview TJs. Dark amber or pale orange clear. Medium body and yeasty aroma. Too sweet malt, fruit and light caramel in the taste. Malty finish is mild. Meh.

2nd March 2019. 500ml bottle into a Leffe chalice (twice) at my daughters place in Orange County, California. Slight haze to the pinky orange body, wispy head. Floral and berry like aroma, mild tartness to the fruity taste. Some herbal and spicy flavours within the Belgian 'style' Tripel. Liked it.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a whitish head. Spice and yeast aroma with light fruitiness. Fruity flavor with light caramel and yeast. Medium bodied. Fruitiness and yeast linger with light spice and light caramel.

Capped 750 from the Trader Joe’s in Davis, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Aromas of floral and spice - tho light for me. Med body at least. Flavor is floral, spice and for me some definite banana. Spice could well be clove. Floral is so light this could be considered a simple tripel. Old school. Quite nice.

Trader Joe’s in Queens: pours orange with a large white head. Aroma is light hibiscus, yeast and fruitiness with some spice. Taste is a bit too sweet for my liking. Really yeasty and spicy. Not that great. I expected more from Hardywood.

Hazy orange and copper coloured body with a very thick, five centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of honey, grass, hay, citrus, curacao and a good bit of flowers - nice and strong. Medium-bodied; Strong honey sweetness at first coupled with a large yeast and citrus finish and ending a bit floral. Aftertaste shows a nice blend of sweet honey and rich malts, showing a lot of alcohol as well. Overall, a nicely balanced beer with a big profile and smooth finish throughout. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Trade Joe’s in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 14-December-2015 for US$7,99 sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 09-April-2016.

Lots of florals, the yeasty kind along with the hibiscus. Pours hazy amber with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish, some booze. Bottle from trader joes.
