This sour IPA is a blend between a Kettle sour beer and a tropical IPA with hints of citrus. Because of the blend this beer isn’t extremely sour but surprisingly refreshing. In combination with the citrus, mosaic and cashmere hops, it’s collab made in heaven. Cheers from Captain IPA and the Owl.

Dose 0,44l: Golden, leicht orange, leichte Trübung, kräftiger stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; sehr frische + sehr fruchtige Nase, leichte fruchtige Süße, kräftige Hopfenaromen, Zitrusnoten, kräftige fruchtige Säure, Zitronen, Limetten, Kumquats, leicht kräutrig, Malz, Getreide, sehr kräftige Hefearomen, fruchtig-säuerliche Bitterkeit; sehr frischer + sehr fruchtiger Körper, kräftige frische Hopfenaromen, trockene Zitrusnoten, kräftige fruchtige Säure, Limettenabrieb, Kumquats, grasige/kräutrige Noten, Malz, Getreide, cremig, moderate Kohlensäure, kräftige trockene Hefearomen; fruchtig-trockener Nachgang

44cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Troebel goudgeel, witte kraag. Licht zurig, citroensap, licht hoppig, bloemig. Aardige kettle sour met een beetje hop, smaakte me prima.

Little cloudy orange beer, small aery irregular yellowish head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, mango, papaya, dank, bit weird. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, oranges, tangerines, bit watery, some grapefruit, little bitter. Aftertaste: fruity, oranges, juicy, nice acidity, soft bitterness, nice stuff.

Can at home, golden beer, small head. Aroma is citrus, lemon, fruit, tart, wheat. Taste is the same, tart, citrus, lemon, hint of bitter aftertaste. ok

Bottle picked up from Het Uiltje Webshop, Haarlem, Netherlandsand consumed at home Tuesday 16th March 2021, listening to Huw Stephens sitting in for Marc Riley on 6Music, we had Tray bake Chicken with Broccoli and Shallots, a little spice and a herby Yoghurt dip. Hazy gold in colour, a light haze, white head. Citrussy and with a light zippy tartness, it's not so much out and out sour as tart, lemony, very nice.

44cl can. A hazy golden beer with a white head. Aroma of mild sweet and tart yellow fruits, citrus and hay. Taste of citrusy hops, flowers, pale malt, mild tart yellow fruits.

Can from Deconinck. Clear golden, small, white head. Aroma of quince, lime juice, unripe mandarin, apple peel, white grape, gooseberry. Taste has sweet-sour mandarin, quince & apple, bitter grape & citrus peel, bit zesty, sligthly lactic body. Tart, earthy hoppy finish, returning sour mandarin, citrus peel & lime. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Sympathetic 'sour' IPA, hoppiness has the final say though.

Can at THT online. Slightly hazy light golden with small white head. Pineapple, lots of tangerine, grassy hops, lime, nore tangerine peels. Light sweet and sour, almost medium bitter. Just medium bodied. OK but not great. Also f*ck Untappd.
