(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 21 Nov 2018) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and fresh mocha aromas. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted grain and a generous cacao/coffee bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made with lots of fresh coffee and cacao. Very nice.

Cask at CBC Islington, 18/12/18. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is mellow roast, chocolate, light coffee bean. Taste comprises chocolate, roast malts, toffee, light spice, charr, faint coffee grinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough stout but would have liked a bit more coffee.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 21st November 2018. Intensely black with tan foam and spot lacing. Rich, roastiness in aroma. Rich and intense coffee roasty maltiness In-mouth, and a resounding, intense bitter coffee finish. Medium bodied with a smooth yet engaging texture. Utterly superb.
