Cask, hand-pulled half pint in the Barley Mow, Portsmouth: lunchtime on 12th March 2017. Golden pour, white crown. Hops rule the roost here, both fruity and piney in the nose, and a bitterness in the taste: some light malty molasses under the surface help to balance out the hops a little. Decent.

Cask at the Monk’s Retreat, Reading. Deep gold with a loose off-white head and a light fizz. Maybe a bit thin. Orange and caramel with a very mild pine bitterness. Generally sweet though. Pretty average beer but pleasant enough.
