Gravity dispense at EBF XX, EUSC, 02/04/15. Very lightly hazed golden orange topped with a moderate off White swirl. Nose is pale malt, citric sherbets, straw, melon, light vanilla. Taste comprises tangerine, straw, orange pith, apricot, bread dough, light spice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok, more a stronger GB than an APA for me.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the 20th Egham Beer Festival. Amber with a loose white head; citrus aroma; sweet grapefruit taste and a grainy body; and a dry biscuity finish. Not bad.

Cask gravity at Worcester Victorian Street Fair, Saturday 29th November 2014. Pours hazy warm gold with a light bubbling around the edges. Aroma is a little blunted, hoppy in mouth, lacks a little crisp bite but its pretty tasty, Loz enjoying it. A5 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.1

Earl of Essex. Cask. Hazy gold beer, no head. Palate is light and crisp and semi dry. Light malts. Soap! Soapy floralness. Some hop bitterness amid the soap fest. Light dry finish. Bleh!

Cask at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds grassy and floral hops with notes of toasted grain. Light sweet flavor with some slightly burnt plastic, further grass, grain husk, a bit of sticky pune, melon, tangerine rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes grassy with - thankfully - slightly less plastic, but it’s still there. Otherwise, you’ve got some further husky grains and rindy citrus. A little rough at the edges.

Bottle from saucy pear, worcester. Pale golden colour with a thin white head. Arom has hops and met. The taste is fresh and refreshing, with a great bitter sweet balance.
