Sample from bottle @ tasting formerly know as RBBWG 2019. F: big, pale tanned, long lasting. C: black, opaque. A: dark malts, dark fruits, caramel, biscuits, bit vinous. T: dark malty and roasted tones, coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, taste is bit better than aroma, bit herbal, decent yet long lasting bitterness, very good balanced, fully enjoyed.

Scopey’s grand vertical. Clear deep amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin dry and tangy dark malts, modest but bitterish dark chocolate. Tangy fruits. Mild pine and a little candy fruits. Light dry finish. Lacks hop punch but it’s alright.

Bottle shared at Scopey place birthday tasting. Many thanks ks to Kenny for this one. Dark amber brown coloured pour with a a loose beige head. Aroma is woody dirty pine, smoke. Flavour is composed of woody smoke, plastic, dirty pine, woody,. Palate is semi sweet moderate carbonation, sticky hop.

Bottle shared in East Croydon - big thanks to MM. Pours deep brown with a frothy, khaki head. The nose holds toasted pine, rindy grapefruit. Light to medium sweet flavour with sticky burnt chocolate, earth, bitter rind, charged grass. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, with strong bitter burnt pine, more rindy citrus, bittersweet cocoa. Alright stuff.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours black with a medium beige head. The aroma is fresh, bitter - sweet, charred pine, cocoa, blackcurrant jam, earth, coco and caramel. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, earthy, toast, ashy roast, liquorice, earth, peppery spice and a touch of cardboard with a dry, peppery finish. Light - medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Not bad for style.
